Monday, the gang’s all here…

Since no one is MIA I guess the Rapture didn’t happen.  I was all ready to go, too.  Well, maybe not really all ready, but I’m certainly  looking forward to the Day.

I am not sure how I feel about people planning for this event.  I mean, it’s going to happen but do we really want to know the specifics?  It is just fine with me to be surprised.

I think to know the exact date and time would be counter productive.  I, for sure, wouldn’t do the laundry or clean the cat box or think about paying the bills.  Then what would happen if the Big Guy decided to change the date because somebody or other hadn’t got the message and needed some time to get his act together?  Everything would be a mess.

I think the Big Guy has it all under control and is not concerned with anyone else’s to do list or calendar.  That’s good enough for me and truthfully quite a relief.

  1. I’m with you not knowing the time or date. I do need some motivation to get out of bed each morning and do what is required. Blessings…

  2. I feel badly for those who were led astray by this, they must be very disappointed. But he had predicted the same thing a number of years ago, and it didn’t happen then, either.
I agree that it’s better not to know the day and time, because we are supposed to occupy until he comes. So keep on keeping on, my friend!

  3. I find it hard to believe that this old geezer could have convinced anyone to listen to him, much less to invest in his predictions without so much as a check into the Word of God or consulting others. It’s sad.

You are right, Patricia. Knowing would be counter productive. Maybe this is why the Bible says that no one knows but our Heavenly Father. We are to be busy about the Father’s work, not waiting for the rapture. Blessings to you…

    1. I had friends who belong to a fairly well known sect that in the 70’s said this would happen. Some, including my friends, dropped their insurance policies and stopped paying bills, etc. They had a really hard time getting everything reinstated and fixing their credit. Sad.

Like I said it is ok to surprise me…and I will keep on as usual until then.

  4. I’ve been waiting to hear what the Rev Camping and his followers have to say about the outcome of their prediction. That rolling earthquake concept seemed a bit unfair to the earliest zones that would have been hit.
