  1. That was too beautiful for words, Patricia. I think that all terminal patients should be allowed visits from their beloved pets. It’s the right thing to do, for both. These photos are the proof. Thanks for sharing!

  2. Oh Patricia. This post hits home. It reminded me of my best friend at the hospice and she has a cat. We brought the cat to visit her. Jan loves Ruby (the cat) so much. When Jan died, Ruby followed. Now they are together in heaven. Thank you for a bitter sweet memory.

      1. Thank you, Patricia. I’m glad Jan died first before Ruby the cat. Jan wouldn’t like to see Ruby die before her. I think Ruby understood.

    1. It is wonderful when hospitals, hospices, and nursing homes allow our furry families to visit. I think it means a lot to both the person and the pet.

      1. Definitely. Not only cats, dogs as well. And there are singers who come around or musically inclined people who can play strings that is so soothing for the soul. Not to mention, priest or Healing Ministries.

        1. I have a friend who is a social worker at a nursing home. They have a cat, dog, and a couple of birds that live there. I think animals add to the quality of life where ever you are living.
