News Travels Fast

While out for my morning constitutional I stopped by a new house on the street to welcome my new neighbor.  She was kind of shy at first but I am a friendly guy and before long we were having fun getting to know each other, nothing serious, just playing.  But how news travels through the neighborhood; the way everyone was acting you would think we were behaving like wild animals.  Her Mom was yelling and screaming at us and my dad was dragging me home telling me what a bad boy I was.  But really you would have gone a little crazy and fallen in love, too, if you saw her beautiful blonde hair, big brown eyes, her cute little nose, and a big sassy tail all fluffy and swishy and wagging all over the place.

Today, I think this one was just silly fun.

    1. I had originally thought dog…but as I am known as a cat person I used cat pictures. If I lived in a house with a yard I would have a dog but in a ninth floor apartment it is not a good idea.

  1. This was so cute! Playful and clever. I love stories from a critter perspective. We once had an tomcat that took a liking to the neighbor’s young female. She had a batch of kittens, one of which looked exactly like him, rather hard to dispute parentage. They were not amused, he was not amused by the subsequent visit to the vet for neutering. All in all, I thought it was rather funny, and we were gifted with the mini-me. 🙂

    1. When I was a kid we always had lots of cats because no one was “fixed”. The cats I have had since then have all had their surgeries. I think people need to be more responsible and part of that is preventing unwanted kitties and puppies.

I think it was very nice that your Tom was a good single father and took responsibility for his kid. 🙂

  2. Nice five sentence story, Patricia. 🙂 Silly fun is fun to write. Not that I do much of it.
It took me a while to figure out it was the cat’s story so I went back and read it again. Nicer yet.
