Tuesday, the reveal…

I know y’all have been anxiously awaiting pictures of my kitchen.
(If you happen to remember that I had some work done.)

Well, here are some pictures

bkit

Doesn’t look too bad in the picture but it was not what you would call good.

This sink was awful…really awful.

Sorry about the blur but I was laughing.

akitMuch better.  I am happy.

Love the sink and faucet.  Big improvement.  I am very happy.

So there you have it.  But I am not done!  Since I have found
my new and wonderful handyman I have another thing to do.
Well, said handyman will do it but it is my plan/design thingie.
Pictures will be posted.

  1. Congratulations on the new kitchen…I thought the first two were of the new improved kitchen…I went “Ooo”..then I saw the two below…really nice!

  2. It’s gorgeous Patricia. I’ve always wanted one of those beautiful tall faucets. (My kitchen sink looks a lot like your old one.) Love the new blog look too. 🙂

    1. Thanks, Elizabeth. I am easily bored by blog themes and seem to change mine more often than most bloggers. The tall faucet is great iI am glad I went with it.

  3. I LOVE IT…NOT TO MENTION JEALOUS. Mine looks as if monks from the 1600s occupied it before me, it’s that old and crumbly. I also LOVE the Teddy cookie jar. Very nice indeed. Restoring is so wonderful for the soul. Happy for you.

    1. My kitchen isn’t that old but it is almost as old as me. The cookie jar is a favorite… as a handle it has a little mouse on the lid . I should have gotten a shot with my cat teapot in it.

    1. What are you going to do in your kitchen? Major remodel or fix up? It is amazing what one thing will do to change the whole look and feel of the kitchen.

  4. Absolutely love the new kitchen, and yes, especially those sinks! Mine are very shallow and annoying when washing pots and pans, etc. Your countertops are beautiful. What does Teddy think of them? Does he enjoy the handyman visits or does he hide? Today I think that you are doing some wonderful improvements that will make you smile… and us too!

    1. I like the deep sinks..great for pots and pans…the rare times I cook and need to wash them. Teddy is unimpressed with the counter and the sink. When anyone knocks on the door he disappears. Favorite hiding place is under the quilt on my bed. I guess he thinks no one knows he is under there but he makes a big lump!

    1. Thanks, Kate. I am very happy with my “new” kitchen. And yes, I have a new theme…I get bored using the same one all the time. I have changed themes quite often.

    1. It seems I am easily bored with a theme and change it. I am happy with the counter and sink. One more project and I will be done for a while. The sink is cast iron with a porcelain finish…major sale item or I would have gotten something else. I stayed in the budget I had…ended up with $3.00 to spare. 🙂

      1. The reason I mentioned it was my daughter has one but it’s not porcelain finished and discolour like the Dickens. Needs to be lightly bleached all the time.
Glad to were able to catch a good sale. 😉

  5. It looks beautiful! Can’t wait to see what else you’ve thought of! I’m painting . .just painting .. and it’s fun to have a clean look and change! 😀

    1. Thanks, Debbie. The next step in the kitchen won’t be as major but I think it will freshen up the look. I am thinking of painting my living room…just have to decide on the color. What are you painting? New paint makes a big difference on how things look.

    1. It does make the kitchen look so much better. The old counter was old and worn and always looked dirty. I am on a diet so there are many cookies being baked these days.

  6. I love your new kitchen. I love redoing what is old and ugly into a work of art. Makes you feel good when it’s done.

Yes, when I come here I expect a cat. Always most welcome.

    Have a terrific day. 🙂
