Sunday, a blessing taken for granted…

I love foggy days.

The picture is the view from my balcony one foggy morning.
This time of year there are many such mornings.

Some people don’t like fog.
They think it is eerie and kind of frightening.

I am thankful for the fog.
It is like God puts a veil over the city for a while
hiding the hardness and harshness of it.

I think it is beautiful and kind of enchanting.
There is mystery about it
and yet I find it oddly comforting.

I like the quiet of a fog
and the feel of it on my skin.

I believe fog is a blessing
too easily overlooked and taken for granted.

Today, I think maybe I like the fog because it comes on little cat feet.

The fog comes
on little cat feet.

It sits looking
over harbor and city
on silent haunches
and then moves on.

  1. Like the others, I also like fog. You are wise to find the positive in things we cannot change….. and for sure one of those things are the weather!

  2. I don’t mind the fog if I don’t have to drive somewhere. Then not so much. I do find it peaceful though. Again when I’m not having to drive in fog.

    Have a fabulous day. 🙂

  3. I do like fog but when I am inside looking out. Once I drove in fog so thick I couldn’t see past my hood ornament one early Sunday morning. I was on the highway and it was spooky.

  4. I agree!Fog, I looks great in photography and sets a tone for any story that’s written 🙂 Love your view 🙂

    1. Fog is a great setting for a story and the writer can decide the tone. Why most writers make it eerie or scary or depressing is beyond me. Surely there is a writer that likes fog and can write a happy story using the fog as a backdrop.
One of the best things about my condo is the view. I have enjoyed it.
