Tender spots and robots?

pressure

Pressure point translates in Japanese to “tender spot”.
What are your pressure points?

I usually don’t have any “tender spots” to write about but…
for the last few days…yes, I have a tender spot.
A dental one that hurts most of my lower jaw.
I went to the dentist and found out there is an infection and I need a root canal.
So, now I am on an antibiotic that is causing its own it own tender spots.

bad toothBummer.

I had a root canal several years ago and my dentist did the deed.
But not this time.
For some reason, I don’t totally understand, I now must go to a dentist
who specializes in Endodontics.

Endodontics…sounds like something to do with robots.
Maybe this dentist is a robot or uses robots?

  1. Sometimes they end you to a specialist because it’s not typical or there are complications. The specialist usually has better equipment, is faster doing the procedure and can avoid complications. Good luck. No one likes dental work.

  2. I had to look it up but now I know another new word I have learned here. 🙂
Maybe your dentist is sending you to an endodontist because of the infection. Anyway, I wish you a quick and uneventful root canal. I’ve had a few too.

    1. Maybe. But I think most dentists now are doing a lot of referrals to specialists. I think it’s weird that I will have to back to my dentist to have a permanent filling put in. Don’t know why the endodontist can’t/won’t do it.

    1. Thanks, Nancy. I had a root canal a few years ago and it wasn’t a bad experience at all. I expect the same this time. I hope the endodontist is a delightful chap!
