Fill in and celebrate…

The way I fill in the blanks this week:

1) Morning is the best time to take a walk

2) I have the best most wonderful friends.

3) I feel ambivalent about sports.

4) Life is better with catkids.

An early morning walk  is a time of peace.
A time of quiet before the world gets in the way.

As the night creatures hush and seek rest
the day creatures awaken to begin their songs.

An early morning walk is a time of contemplation.
A time of calmness before life begins to hurry.

As the darkness departs and the light returns
the spirit is renewed and joy realized.

An early morning walk is a time to treasure.
A time of sweet communion before the day begins.

  1. Since I have to get kids off to school, I can’t do the early morning walk — although I do agree with you how lovely it would be. So we try to do a family one after dinner a couple times per week.

    1. I don’t get out early as often as I would like to…no reason other than I don’t get moving…but morning walks are good for the soul.

  2. I love…seek rest…lovely verse Patricia. I’m a big morning person…it
is 5:25 on a Sunday. I will gather myself and go out, walk a few blocks with my hoodie up to get a cup of coffee. It’s guaranteed peace at this hour, especially where I live. New York is loud and garishly garnished with all that will disturb and steal one’s peace…a drawback to the good.

    Catkids…like that too.

    1. I am a night person but I do like early morning. It would be best if an early morning walk took place just before I went to bed. But that is not to be so I take afternoon naps.
