1. Being old(er) is better than I thought it would be.
2. Do you ever wonder if everyone is crazy or is it just you?
3. When I relax I am alone because I only really relax when I am by myself.
4. The food I only eat at a restaurant is anything that has more than 5 ingredients
and takes more than 15 minutes to make because I am lazy
and don’t find the kitchen a fun place to be .
I celebrate my age…
which is not really a small thing it is a larger number. Still far from 3 digits though!
When I was doing the Friday Fill-In for this week I got to thinking about age. I am of an age that was once considered old but these days it is thought of as just being older. Partly because we don’t look as old as people my age used to look and because we don’t act as old. I think a lot of it has to do with the fact that there are so many of us boomers and we just keep on rockin’
Because of my life-style when I was young there were those who thought I would be lucky if I lived to be forty. Surprise! Here I am more than a little over 40, still alive, still rockin’, and still a bit ditzy.
And I celebrate old friends and making new friends.
Most of the friends I have these days are of the younger than me variety. Usually, but not all of them, younger by 20 years or more! I love it. They are fun and eager for life, still ready for new and untried things. They help to keep me young with their enthusiasm and laughter. Why is it so many old(er) people are bored and rarely laugh? It’s sad. Anyway, I am going shopping with a new young friend tomorrow…what fun!
