Posted in books, Celebrate the Small Things, Friday Four Fill-in Fun

A little of this and that…

Hilary at Feeling Beachie and Pam at Troopertrie
have some blanks to fill in so here goes.

  1. New is not always better.
  2. I am much better at being a supporting player than being the star.
  3. In the winter I will bundle up because I don’t like feeling the cold.
  4. Growing up I ate all I wanted and was sleekly slender but as an adult I
    eat
less than I want and I am charmingly chubby
    .

There are always small things to celebrate and I have a couple this week.
Visited with a friend.
Went shopping with a friend.
Bought some clothes…and had some big laughs trying things on.
(I tend to forget I am no longer skinny.  See number four above.)
Bought some Christmas presents.  Yep, really!

Today,  August 9, is Book Lovers Day!
Nice to know there is a designated day
but I think everyday is a book loving day.

  1. I definitely have a fondness for the things of old often. My mom and I even went to some antique stores this weekend — I could wander for hours. This world places too much emphasis on the New and Fresh; I like a bit of history.
And I definitely agree with being a team player. I never was much for wanting to be the star either.

    1. I thought of this because I hate it when companies start “improving” stuff when it is great the way it is without messing with it. Like cereal. Why must they improve cereal?!
