    1. Well, we do have to be with people we don’t know in order to get to know them. I like to meet in small groups.. it doesn’t seem so overwhelming.

  1. I am probably your worst nightmare then – because I will talk your ear off! LOL
I always find new people interesting…. like mysteries just waiting to be solved! And I am under no illusion that is most likely VERY annoying to most people. But I just find it interesting to see how quickly you can discover some kind of common ground or interest when meeting someone new.

    1. You are not annoying to me. If a friendly chatty person gets the conversation going I can usually make the effort to engage. I just am not good in groups of strangers.I am not especially shy but I am an introvert.

    1. Not for me they haven’t. One of my brothers loved being in high school. He wasn’t a very good student but he was a jock and very popular unlike his nerdy little sister who was a wallflower and miserable.

  2. We are in complete agreement on 2, 3, and 4. On #1, I am miserable if stuck in a group of people I don’t know, and looking for the fastest escape route. However, I enjoy a sit down one-on-one visit with anyone, anywhere, anytime. I love people-studying, and finding out what makes them who they are. I don’t do superficial chit-chat at all though, waste of time and energy. If I go somewhere to a group function with Papa Bear he knows I will be clinging tightly to his arm, and still be looking longingly at the door! He’s ok with that 🙂

    1. I like to people watch but I don’t want to participate in big, or not so big, social events. Once I have some time one on one I am fine.
