Hilary at Feeling Beachie and Tami at Pretty Purplexing
have given us some blanks to fill in.
- If I take a walk when I feel sad then I begin to feel better.
- A gray rainy day reminds me of Ohio.
- I think of my third grade teacher when I read.
- Acceptance of who I am, the good, bad, and ugly, is the most special thing my friend has given me.

All I have to do is read the four statements above and I have
the small things I celebrate this week.
- I live in a great neighborhood for walking.
- I have happy comforting things to remember.
- I had some wonderful teachers and my third grade teacher gave me the gift of loving to read.
- I have the best friends.

I love your answers, as always. Very thoughtful.
Thank you ma’am.
Taking a walk is the best thing for a down mood. A little sun, fresh air, and movement lifts the spirits.
That it does! Gives the heart a peaceful rhythm.
It always helps to stay focused on the positive. #4 puzzles me – I think it is something nobody can give us, but ourselves
Your comment made think. You are right but I do think it is important to have a cheerleader who lifts you up and helps you see the beauty of who you are.
Yes, it is nice to have someone rooting for you, but in the end we can only count on ourselves….
Enjoyed this post. A rainy day reminds me of Ohio, too. When it rained, we knew it would rain or be cloudy and dismal for several days. Blessings to you, Patricia…
I live in the sunny south now and sometimes wish for a gray and rainy day. Those days have their beauty, too.
I like your list :). My neighborhood is great for walking and I do that every day!
I am not as dedicated as you. I need to start a daily walk habit. Maybe tomorrow. π
You link didn’t work so I looked up your blog. – Great answers. I knew you had to have had a teacher who taught you a love for reading. That is wonderful. Friends are always great to have. I love that you enjoy walking. I need to do it more often myself.
Glad you got here even though the link didn’t work. I don’t know what happened there. I think that teacher gave me the greatest gift when she opened the world of books to me.
I love your number three
She was wonderful. We had so much fun that year. She was a hard act to follow for the fourth grade teacher.
Great answers. Walking really does help as a stress reliever.
It is the best! I really need to get away from the computer and do more walking.
I like how you fill in your blanks. Always interesting. π
MY third grad teacher gave me a free pass. We had to watch our spelling when writing answers on our exam. The answer to a question was rabbit but I was afraid I didn’t know how to spell it. What to do? I drew a small rabbit as best I could where the word was supposed to go. The answer was correct and I got my mark even though I didn’t spell it. β€
What a wonderful teacher. Some teachers do have a gift for knowing what a child needs. I remember my third grade teacher read every afternoon for our quiet time. She read the most wonderful books and made me want to read.
*nods* My grandchildren have wonderful teacher too, I’m pleased to say.
