The world wrapped in mist…

Two Shoes Tuesday’s prompt this week is

I love to see the world wrapped in mist.
Everything fuzzy with all the hard edges blurred.
Sound in the city muted to a soft rumble.
Air infused with the scent of sweet ambrosia.
Gentle touches of wispy dew.
Earth being bathed; renewed and refreshed.
Baptized in readiness for new wonders.

  1. Such pretty reading you wrote. It tells like I know how misty, light rainy days go.
A good reminder in our dry times here, thank you.

    1. Thank you, Jim. We know about not enough rain. Sometimes the fog teases then leaves us high and dry. But we are finally out of the drought category with beautiful rain all summer. Can’t believe there is still green grass. And there was snow Saturday in some places of the state…first time ever for snow in Nov. in SC

  2. There is something quite beautiful about a dreamily misty day. Often when the sun does finally warm it away everything seems to be harsher and noisier and and your dreams are gone. Great photo to go with your excellent poem.

  3. Your picture is a Monet of the city. I like to see the world bathed in bright sunshine. But it is nice to think of the mist as washing away the old, the negative, the unhealthy and making way for new!

  4. I so agree with you Patricia, I love a fog shrouded world. It’s mystical, and very private, and as it fades away we see again with clear eyes, everything looks brighter! You wrote this beautifully, thank you for sharing with us at Two Shoes Tuesday!
