The wise and the fools…

The prompts for this weeks Two Shoes Tuesday is

I have a friend who says,

“Youth is wasted on the young.”

Maybe she has a point.

But I wonder

is wisdom wasted on the foolish?

Something to think about.

  1. It would terrible to regret not being foolish when young when it was forgivable. The be an adult and foolish means you have learned nothing.

  2. I personal wish I was young enough to pull off that hairdo. It would look even more foolish on a woman my age, but I love the edginess of it. That I can appreciate it from afar is wisdom, I guess.

    1. I can’t say I worry about them but I do feel a bit sad that they have to learn lessons the hard way. But I guess we all fall into that category now and then.

  3. The Bible says not to bestow pearls on swine, and I think this might carry over in attempts to bestow wisdom on the foolish, rarely are the ready to listen to advice or take heed of direction. Yet at one time most of us were foolish, and over the years have grown to be a bit more wise. I suspect that most wisdom is self taught/learned. This post made me think Patricia, I like that!

    1. I can remember the days…years…I was a foolish woman never wanting to listen to words of wisdom. The heartache I could have saved myself and a few others if I had not been so hard-headed! Thankfully, time has taught me some lessons… listening to those with wisdom to share is one of them.

  4. I must say, No. I don’t think wisdom is wasted on the foolish. I think some people never “get it”, unfortunately. In fact, I know some people that can prove my theory. Sadly.
