Multicoloured, Thursday’s Special…

Lost in Translation/Thursday’s Special
prompt this week is

This is a picture of the rug in my living room.
It is an area rug not wall to wall.
When I bought it some people said it would be better
if I got a neutral rug with a subtle pattern
because I would get tired of this one quickly.
I loved it when I bought it and 18Β years later I still love it.
I am glad I didn’t listen to the naysayers.

  1. I like that pattern very much too, it is interesting! I think that our eyes delight in plays of colors and patterns and they are good to lift our spirits! I am sure that it gives warmth and personality to your room!

  2. I have a Persian rug in my living room too. Even when I lived in the US I had one. I love those! So much nicer than a “neutral color.” Have a great weekend! πŸ™‚

  3. I like that rug. I tend to be a color guy with a fascination for patterns and interesting contrasts. My wife prefers simple plain things with subdued coloring. Off course I let her have her preference since it’s not all that important to me. If it were solely my decision though we’d have a lot of color in our house and rugs like yours.

    1. Thank you. Yes, I have found the best decisions are the ones I ask advice about, consider the input, then decide what’s right for me.

    1. I knew from having wall to wall neutral carpeting in every apartment and for a few years here that I wanted color and pattern. I have never regretted my decision.
