Celebrate the Small Things · Friday Four Fill-in Fun · musings

Thoughts about time…

Hilary at Feeling Beachie has these fill-in statements for this week:

  1. Is it me or do you also feel like you don’t get as much done as you used to?
  2. The morning is great but it should start later in the day.
  3. Sushi is my least favorite food.
  4. The time I am asleep ends before I would like it to.

Today I  Celebrate the Small Things with Lexa Cain.

I am at a time in my life where I no longer have to work full-time.
I still work but not 40 hours a week.
It is wonderful to have time for doing the things I want to do.
I don’t really do anything big or exciting but,
it is wonderful not to owe all of my time to someone else.
It is also a gift to be able to sleep late. See #’s 2 and 4 above.
It is hard to soar with the eagles when you hoot with the owls.
Hmmm, that may be the answer to my #1 question.

    1. It is a delight to have days that are mine to do with as I please. I feel so spoiled. It took a lot of tears to get to this place in life.

    1. The weekend so far has been pretty good. Full of just me and the cats and what I want to do. Hope you have a weekend of whatever Tess wants.

      1. Thank YOU, Patricia. I wanted to sleep in this morning but I had one cat on my shoulder and the other breathing in my face. Once I got up, I was UP. Now I’m going to catch up here and go r.e.a.d. the afternoon away. Sigh.
Go. Have a glorious Sunday or rest of the weekend.

  1. Yes, it’s WONDERFUL to have free time for you and things you want to do instead of being a slave to an employer. I retired about 6 years ago and I’m grateful every day. I hope you get to sleep late more often. Have a great weekend! 🙂

    1. I sleep late more often than I should so I get really behind on the “I want to do” list. But I am grateful that I can do it…being sort of retired is great.
