Today I am joining Linda Kay at Senior Adventures,
Wednesday Wit and Wisdom
All you have to do is find a picture and write a story or poem using it as inspiration.
Conversation at the Barn
“Hey guys, come over here. Look at these animals. Aren’t they cute?”
“Silly looking if you ask me.”
“Maybe, a little. But look at the white-haired guy over there,”
“Yeah, he’s quite handsome and looks intelligent too.”
“I like the red-head. Those bangs are sexy.”
“What are they doing?”
“They’re cute, see they’re watching us.”
“I think they are laughing at us.”
“Why would they be laughing at us? They’re the funny looking ones!”
“What kind of animals are they anyway?”
“Haven’t you seen these critters before?”
“Nope, don’t think so. I’d remember if I did, they’re strange-looking.”
“Well, they are Homo sapiens. They call themselves People.”

Hahaha! Hilarious! 🙂
Happy you had a laugh 🙂
How delightful to think of animals talking to each other. Thanks for linking in!
I really do think they talk to each other and most likely some of the conversations are about the crazy people around them.
Yes, Patricia! Even i have felt the same when I visit zoos or see animals seemingly discussing amongst themselves!
Zoos are a hoot. I just know the animals think we are crazy to spend and probably do talk about us and have a few laughs at our expense.
Wonderful perspective on what/who we declare appears strange! If it isn’t like us, we think it’s funny! Though I tend to stand with the critters here, people are a pretty funny looking/acting bunch… especially nowadays! 🙂 Great tail tale!
When I first got Teddy I started a story about his first encounter with a people. I need to find it and see if I can get post worthy. I think animals are funny and probably just as wise in their way as we think we are.
Hilarious! Where Aubrey goes for horse therapy , there used to be a pasture with alpacas in it. We just loved them and they all had different hair dos!
I am happy you got a laugh with this. It was fun to write. Llamas and alpacas are the funniest creatures… they are so expressive. I think ostriches and emus probably have similar conversations but they don’t seem as smart.
I can soooo picture this and hear it in a barn. 😀 😀 😀 I think animals are smarter than we think and I DO believe they all converse. ❤
When I watch Teddy and Jack I know they are having conversations. I think Teddy cusses a lot!.
😀 😀 😀 Sounds like he’s bossing Jack around because he can!. Hahaha. Too funny.
