Once again I am behind on my 52 Weeks of Gratitude posts.
So, today it is time to catch up.
Week 26…Someone you got to meet.
Except for a couple of the guys in the band, Hootie and the Blowfish
I don’t think I have met anyone that you would know or recognize.
But I am thankful for the friends I have and
I am thankful to have met them.
Week 27…Favorite spot in your city.
Other than the walls I live within I can’t say I have a favorite spot.
There is a small park a block away where I like to sit sometimes
andI am thankful for the shade and quiet I find there.
Week 28…Your past.
I guess you could say I have a “checkered” past.
I am thankful it is past and I don’t live there anymore.
It wasn’t all bad…a lot of it was very good
and I am thankful for the lessons I learned
and for the life I have now.
Week 29…Your favorite memory.
I was thinking about this last night and got to laughing so hard
I almost wet my pants!
There are two stories that involve my parents,
There is no way I can write about those times because I don’t have
the skill to put the stories into written words.
But I can tell you I am thankful for two very serious people
who were my very funny parents.
Week 30…Your current age.
Well, I am old.
Except for a couple of bothersome things
that I will die with but not of I am healthy
and I am so very thankful for this blessing.
There, done, all caught up.

I’m so glad you’re still working at it! 🙂 That’s so cool you got to meet some of the people from Hootie & the Blowfish!
Hootie and the Blowfish went to school here and played in the local bars. Then when they got famous and had some money a couple of them shopped in the store where I worked.
I think you could write a story without even trying hard. You’re a natural for it. Blessings to you, Patricia…
If I were to write the story it would take me a long time. I think it is hard to write humor. It takes a lot of edits. I don’t think I could write it as funny as it was.
A quick and detailed catch up. I love reading these challenges. You can learn slouch about people.
Like why I hate auto spell check… That is so much not slouch. 🙂
Funny I read it as so much and had to look at the comment again to see the typo.
🙂 The brain auto edits like the computer auto corrects. I guess it all comes out in the wash!
Does this mean I am not a woman of mystery? Darn!
I think there is still plenty unrevealed beneath the surface. 🙂
Still water run deep. 😉
True ’nuff.
So, you are old…that is subjective. ☺
I am old and proud of it! If I wasn’t as old as I am I would be dead. 😉
I will die with, not of- that was my favourite line 🙂
Well, that’s the way it is a bother but not fatal.
