Kids are smart…

Children are most wonderful when they are allowed to simply be who they are.
Sadly, we are often too concerned with who and what they will be when they grow up.
Yes, children need guidance and structure as they are learning about life,
but they do not need to be told who or what they should be in the future.
Send them to school and encourage them to try new things.
Give them the opportunity to try things that interest them
and if they fail in the attempt let them try again.
They will find what they are good at and what they love and they will succeed.
Just let them be who they are where they are at the present time.
Kids are smart they will figure it out.

This is in response to this week’s In Other Words prompt

“We worry about what a child will become tomorrow,
yet we forget that he is someone today.”

  1. A resounding AMEN from my corner, Patricia! Too many times I see parents trying to push their child in one direction or another, forgetting that each of us has our own journey, purpose and bliss. If we allow a child to develop their own passions, they will blossom and do wonderful things as they grow up and share their joy with those around them!
