Thank you. I am so thankful that I no longer live in a house and now live in my home.
awww, this is so lovely written. i absolutely love the contrast between the two and the word choice. thank you for sharing ❤
Thank you for your kind comment.
Sanctuary…that is what I call a home regardless how dilapidated the structure is.
You are right. Home has little to do with what the place looks like, more what it feels like and who lives in it.
Yes, yes, yes! A house is just a structure, but a true home is a place of sanctuary, a refuge from all the sharp edges we encounter in our lives and in the world. Home is where you feel content. I am so thankful that both you and I found our way HOME at last!
Yes, we are blessed to be home. It is a sanctuary that gives me a sense of freedom I didn’t have earlier in my life.
This is a very interesting take on the prompt quote. It had me reflecting on my past and present homes. As a child, we moved constantly. I went to 11 schools. As an adult I know there is security in sameness. We have lived here for 28 years.
I can’t imagine moving 11 times. I had a hard enough time trying to fit in and belong as it was. I have lived here 37 years and in my home for 20. There is security when you are happy where you live.
