  1. A hug is it a privilege. After spending the past few years in a touchless time warp, unable to receive or give a hug due to neurological pain ignited by touch, I have come to consider a hug to be such a precious gift. When I am able to, take a friend into my arms, I hold on. I make it last as long as I can.

    1. A hug is a precious gift! Touch is an important sense… I am sorry you have pain with it. I think it would be worse if there was no one to hug. It is good that you do have people in your life that you can share hugs with if only by telling them you are giving them a mental hug until you can share physically.

  3. What a great quote…never heard it before but hugs should be mandatory. I often ask for one if it’s from someone I’m really comfortable with. They just rule the day, don’t they. Teddy agrees.

    1. We didn’t show affection in my family either. But I learned it is a good thing to hug and I make a practice of it now though it was hard at first.
