In my mind, the new year really starts on the first Monday in January.
So tomorrow 2016 begins for real.
Except for cats.
They don’t know anything about Monday.

So true. Our little feline knows when it is time for us to get up and lets us know it. Meeeoooowwwww!
The boys are pretty patient and let me sleep but once they see I am awake it’s time to eat and no lingering abed allowed.
We humans are here just for their needs and amusement.:)
Cats don’t seem to get too excited about anything in particular. Just veg out!
Teddy doesn’t get excited about much but Jack gets crazy excited when we play with his feather wand.
Lucky cats.
I do have lucky cats and I tell them so all the time. They were both strays so I guess they know it’s the truth.
I agree, we’ve been playing “Winter Vacation” off and on for the past two weeks, and now it’s time to regroup and get back into the routines of life. In a way that feels ok, once I get accustomed to no more sleeping in mornings ’til Saturday. I was enjoying those shorter work weeks! :-). My furkids love the days when I stay home, then we can all snuggle in the morning while I drink my cup of breakfast tea. They know when I am scurrying about that it means I’ll soon be headed out the door for the day.
I know what you mean about getting into a routine again. If I don’t have some sort of must do’s nothing gets done. Working part-time is great, but I have to be careful with my off time so it is not just wasted time. I think the boys like to see me go to work so they can nap without having to keep track of me all day.
Very true 🙂
It is so hard to get up and go to work when the cats are sleeping contentedly, especially on Mondays. But wonderful to come home and see them running with tails up to welcome me home.
