In Other Words
prompt:
“Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed
by the things you didn’t do than by the things you did do.”
Mark Twain
This quote has made me ask myself some questions about my life
and how I have lived it and if I am disappointed in any of it.
Of course, I have some disappointments but really not many.
Of those things I did do and those I did not do my disappointments
seem to be about equal. Maybe a bit more on the not done than the done.
Some of the disappointments in what I didn’t do are because of what I did do
and some of what I did that was disappointing was because of what I didn’t do.
Is that confusing?
I would try to clarify what I am saying but I think it would be disappointing
and I certainly don’t want that so you are on your own trying to figure it out.
Anyway, it makes sense to me.

This made me smile because I can so relate, the didn’t do’s and did do’s are so cross-related that it’s impossible to sort it out, so I focus on my contentment with how it’s all worked out in the end. It seems to me that you’ve created a pretty comfortable life for yourself as well. We are truly blessed!

I am happy. Wasn’t always so which makes me appreciate my life now. Being content is a blessing!
Great blog and yes, I do understand. We must be on the same wave length.
Thanks. Maybe because we are of a certain age we think alike?
You have a point there – could be.
I get it, Patricia. 😀 😀
If you celebrate it, Happy Easter.
Good! Sometimes I confuse myself.
It would be disappointing for the kitty to stare into space and not catch anything. But I would be disappointed with Kitty if he did.
My mother had a cat that would bring her little lizards. She was quite proud of herself and my mother did her best to appreciate the gifts.
I think I understand. I’m happy for the most part with my life right now.

Sometimes my thoughts are a bit jumbled but if you take your time they can be understood…I hope. Might as well be happy it’s the only life you have why waste it being unhappy.
