Have you noticed leep is sweeter after the alarm goes off?
I have.
I never have a problem going back to leep
after the alarm rudely awakens me.
And leep is so sweet then.
I wonder why that is?
I have to get up as soon as I turn off the alarm.
Well, I do hit the snooze alarm button but
when that is turned off I must get up right away.
If I don’t I will leep another hour.
Sometimes I set the alarm when I really don’t have to
just so I can turn it off and go back to leep.
Maybe you think that is weird
but you should try it.
It’s like a visit to Heaven.
Teddy thinks it’s sweet
leep, too.
He likes to snuggle early in the morning
so he likes it when I don’t get up right away.
That’s my post for the letter
Our kids are grown now, but they love MLP – Friendship is Magic. They are part of the Brony movement…adults who love this cartoon and what it stands for. It is a sweet show with good lessons about friendship and valuing people (or ponies, in the case of the show’s characters).
There is nothing I love more than setting the alarm clock on Saturday for the pure pleasure of shutting it off, or waking up early to shower for work, then crawling back under the covers for an extra 30 minutes. It certainly is the sweetest sleep of the day. Our furkids have the sleeping part down purrfectly!
Sleep is awesome. One of the biggest blessings in my opinion.
I know exactly what you mean. Before the alarm goes off, it’s like I’m tense and not sleeping very well because I know it’s going to ring soon, but the minute it goes off, I relax and just want to curl up and go back to sleep. Wish I could do that. Sigh.
I have no idea why sleep is so good after the alarm. I sleep well during the night but I can’t stand that alarm clock waking me up.
I wake up several times a night as my insulin pump alarms to tell me something, so waking up early, again, would not make me happy! BUT – what I can’t understand is WHY when I really hate going to bed so much and leave it as late as possible, do I hate getting up in the morning? ~Liz http://www.lizbrownleepoet.com
Because you are tired from staying up late. I am a night owl and sometimes find it difficult to soar with the eagles in the morning.
I’m often disappointed on weekends when I want to sleep a bit later I wake up anyway and can’t go back to sleep. Once I’m up, I’m up, though I will typically take one or two cat naps during the day.

Tossing It Out
I don’t mind getting up early if it is without the alarm doing its nasty thing. I don’t like anything or anyone telling me what to do. I love naps!
One of the best perks of retirement . . . almost never setting the alarm!
Yeah, I just have to set the alarm three times a week and that is wonderful.
Ah, lovely! If I go back to sleep after the alarm’s gone off, I tend to have nightmares so I try my best to get out of bed immediately! I’m more of a morning person than a night person.
My other A to Z is Around My Kitchen Table
I am a night person but have no problems with morning once I am up. It’s just that getting out of bed is a problem. Nightmares, or morningmares, would be bad. I rarely have bad dreams unless something is troubling me.
When I worked, I would hit the snooze button several times. I used to not be one to jump out of bed with perkiness. Now that I am retired, I wake up early with no alarm and perky.
I am fine once I am up and out of bed. Although, I wouldn’t say I am perky more like pleasant.
“To sleep, perchance to dream.” ~Shakespeare (“Aye, there’s the rub”…Hamlet)
Yeah…good S post. Cats do sleep the very best way!
I dream all the time. Do you? I love to watch cats sleep, they are expert sleepers.
I don’t think it is weird. I think it is funny! I can imagine doing that and tossing the clock across the room.
Have a blessed day!
I am nonviolent and like to conserve my energy so no throwing of things.
I wouldn’t really throw it. I was just teasing. 🙂
Good to know. No throwing things at Patricia’s Place…unless it’s a party.
If it’s a party, maybe Pinkie Pie will let us borrow her party cannon. 🙂
Huh?
I was being silly. It was a reference to the really bouncy pink pony on the My Little Pony-Friendship is Magic cartoon. Our kids love it.
I have limited knowledge of cartoons…no kids or TV but I knew there was some sense to your comment. 😊
