Week 7 fill-ins…

Friendly Fill-Ins week 7

putercat

  1. My feelings get hurt when I think someone feels sorry for me because I live alone and have no family close by.

  2. I am excited about doing some updating in my kitchen, hopefully soon.
  1. When I have  decisions to make I think awhile, make a pro and con list and talk to someone first, then I usually just go with what my intuition tells me is the best thing to do.
  1. One time, I did something really stupid; that’s why I don’t judge other people for the choices they make.

  1. I have always had the impression that you are very content with your life, and that’s what really matters, it sounds like a good life to me… you Do have family with you – Teddy and Jack! :-). A kitchen remodel sounds like fun! It is smart to check out all the options on big decisions, I’m in the process of doing that now. I could have written #4, except I’ve done more than one stupid thing in my life, I could probably fill a book with that list! It does make me more compassionate toward others in similar situations and it also gives me enough experience to offer a little advice when asked.

    1. Yes, I am content with my lot and my family of catkids. Oh yes, I have made many many many stupid mistakes but there is the one that was really awful. I hurt myself and a lot of people with my stupidity. Fortunately, I learned a lesson I will never forget and will never repeat that mistake again. Forgiveness and mercy were given me for which I am forever thankful. Grace abounds.

  2. I like that you make pro and con lists. That means you’re joining good sense with intuition. Good luck with updating the kitchen and have a lovely weekend! 🙂

  3. Thank you for participating in the fill-ins. I enjoyed your answers, I love pro and con lists, they really do help you see the big picture. And I love your #4, we have all done stupid things which is why no one should judge another. I want to see before and after photos of your kitchen- I love home decorating. Have a great weekend.

    1. I should have added that there has been more than “one time” I made a stupid mistake. 😉 Don’t hold your breath on pictures. I have been planning the kitchen redo for years. Hopefully this year it will actually get done.

    1. It would be ok to live with someone if they weren’t around much or if I lived in a really big house. I like my quiet little life with my cats and people in small doses.

  4. Updating anything, especially a kitchen, is fun, but living with the disruption is a headache.
I LIKE living alone–well, except for two cats. Sure my daughter and family are upstairs, but a lot of time I don’t see them because of everyone’s busy schedules.
I believe I make more stupid mistakes now than when I was much younger. o_O

    1. Who knows when the update will begin. Hopefully this year but then I have been saying that for years. Seems something always comes up and the money saved is needed elsewhere. I still make lots of mistakes but the really stupid ones were long ago.

  5. The closest that I’ve ever come to living alone was in the dorm during the summer session at USC-Columbia. I imagine that I could adapt if I had to, but I hope I never have to. I say, whatever works for you, that is what you need to do.

    Have fun updating your kitchen!

    Have a great weekend. 🙂

    1. I have lived alone most of my life and can’t imagine having someone around all the time. Maybe in a big house it would be ok but not in a small condo.

      1. There was a point in my life that I thought I would end up living alone.

Our daughter’s dorm during this summer session is like a condo/apt. that she is sharing with 3 other people, and the one in the fall, she’ll have 5 other people living with her. I can’t imagine living with that many people that aren’t my husband and kids.

  6. I can really relate to #3 and #4. Actually, Patricia, I can relate to the way you think about many things. I guess that is why I like you so much! Thanks for being a part of Friendly Fill-Ins; I am happy that you are. Hugs.

    1. Thanks, Annie. We do seem to be kindred spirits. I am glad you two started up this meme. I am enjoying being a part of it and visiting others and seeing what they have to say. ((((Annie))))
