I have little to add to Tuesday Chatter this week.
I think the heat is shrinking my brain.
With that thought…
Aren’t ostriches the funniest critters?
They have such little heads and very expressive faces
on such long necks.
Their legs are so long and powerful
too bad they end with such ugly feet!
They are sort of prehistoric looking like maybe they are akin to dinosaurs.
I hear they are good parents but I don’t know if that is true,
but this mama or papa (I am not familiar with ostrich genders
to identify which this is but it looks like a mama to me) sure is
beautifully proud of her chicks.
So that’s what came out of my heat shrunk brain this week.
Do you think when it cools off, if it ever does, I will become swell-headed
or will I remain a shriveled brain?

Great response to Tuesday Chatter and thank you. I am tired of the heat too. I don’t have any desire to go outside and do things.
This is the first year I haven’t walked most days in spite of the heat. Every day I plan to take my usual walk but when I walk a block or less I turn around and head inside with the a/c cranked.
I think the heat this summer is getting to all of us. It would be nice if it would shrink our bodies instead of our brains though! 🙂 Ostriches are some very strange looking birds indeed, and I understand from a friend that used to raise them that they can be rather ornery too, but those little ones are adorable!
Well, my body isn’t shrinking! I need to get out for a nice long walk and burn some calories. Near where my brother lived there was a farm with emu’s and llama’s. The emu’s were ok but the llama’s would spit at you if they weren’t happy. Very yucky llama spit.
