Friendly Fill-Ins of mine…

Friendly Fill-Ins Week 17

  1. My favorite way to exercise is walking. I haven’t done much this summer because of the heat but now that it is cooling down a bit I will get back to it.

  1. Something I learned last week was how good I feel when I get up around 7:30-8:00. Much earlier than that and I tire quickly during the day much later and I have little energy feeling logy and dull.

  1. I am sentimental about nothing that I can think of.

4.  Some people might find it surprising to know I have never gone back to the place
where I was born and raised and after 38 years have no desire to.

  1. I like your wake up time!! 7:30 – 8 am is my best time too. I cannot get up an earlier unless there is an absolute necessity because I am a night owl who doesn’t usually go to bed before midnight. So that leaves me about 6 – 7 hours sleep. I mean, I CAN sleep into 10 am if I didn’t have kids – LOL – but most days I am awake by 8 am. I have never returned to my birthplace either – and I don’t really have any desire to either. I like my second hometown that we moved to when I was 10 years old much better.

    1. When I moved here I thought it would just be for a year or two. Its been 38 years! Guess this is where I will stay. I try very hard to get to bed by midnight…not often successfully. Naps are my friends.

  2. Hi Patricia Walking has always been my favourite exercise. I don’t “do” gyms although I have been known to join and then not go. I love the kitty snaps. They add something to this post. Thanks.

    1. I am not much for gyms either although I did like Pilates a lot. I do love cats so there are usually pictures of them here. Glad you like them.

  3. Walking is the one form of exercise that I really enjoy too. I wish my knees would let me do more of it. At one time I walked at least five miles a day and it felt great! I think 7:30-8:00 is the perfect wake up time too. If I sleep in any later I feel like I missed half the day, so I lose all motivation. I think you just might be a little sentimental about a couple furkids you reside with! 🙂 I can count on less than one hand the number of times I’ve returned to the town where I was born in the past twenty years, and the last two were for funerals. I have no plans to go there again. It’s a sad little town now, and the memories I have of there are better left to rest. You have built a good and happy life where you are now, we live in the present, the rest belongs to another time.

  4. David and I are night owls, too, or like he likes to say, vampires. 🙂 We just work much better if we’re allowed to be up all night and sleep during the day. But, that isn’t where life has us at the moment. Because of that, I am draggy all day long no matter how long I sleep.

I can understand you having no desire to go back where you came from, especially if you left due to bad circumstances. We left SC because of family problems, only thing is, they literally came out here with us and we found new ones here. Now, I’d love nothing better than to go back to South Carolina to live, though not necessarily to live in the county where I was born and raised. I want to go to the county that appears to have been the melting pot for both my ancestors and David’s – Edgefield, South Carolina.

The kitties in your post are adorable. I especially love the second one. It reminds me of a photo I took of our sweet Xerxes. 🙂

    Have a wonderful, blessed weekend!

    1. I am trying to be better about going to bed before the rest of the world is waking up but it is a struggle. I sometimes wonder how I survived all the years I worked full time.

  5. Thank you for participating in the fill-ins, you always have great answers. I like walking too when it is cooler. I get up at the same time and it works for me, I hate getting up earlier. Have a great weekend!
