Today is Tuesday and time to Chatter.
Monday night I make plans for what I will accomplish on Tuesday. I always have a long list. I used to write the list down but now I just keep it in my head. It works fine, actually better. Everything on the list was never done and it bothered me to see all the things not checked off compared to the things with a check mark. This way it doesn’t bother me to not get the list done because most of it I don’t remember on Tuesday anyway.
I did work on the mess in the guest room. Sort of. It’s still a mess but a smaller mess. That counts for something, right? Yes, it does! I would have gotten more done but I got hungry and while I was eating I played games on my Kindle, you know multi-tasking. Then I did some “research” on the computer. That always makes time fly. I really do think computers make time move faster. Except at work, computers at work are programmed differently than home computers. Then it was dark and I don’t work when it gets dark. Gotta love the time change.
So that’s it for today, time for a bath, a book, hot chocolate, and bed.
“Laziness is nothing more than the habit of resting before you get tired.”
Jules Renard

I loved this! Sometimes we all need a day to do just as we please, and I’m so with you on the written to-do lists, they are defeating. I prefer to look back at the end of the day and see what I did manage to accomplish and if I have good feelings about the day, sometimes that might just be catering to cats who want to be held and played with!
I have lots of days that I do as I please. Looking around me I must say I should put my butt in gear and do some serious housekeeping. Maybe tomorrow 🙂
Great post and I love the quote. Thank you for linking to Tuesday Chatter.
Thanks. I like to Tuesday Chatter.
😉
I’m all for the resting… If I find the time.

You have to find the time? For me it just shows up unannounced.
The greatest labor saving device is tomorrow.
How true!
Yes. You deserve that bath, book, cocoa, and bed…with cats. Enjoy!
I linked a poem that wrote itself in the 11th hour. I hope to keep linking! You and your meme is one of my favourites. I need to not be my own worst critic. I am a work in progress. Hugs, my friend.
I did enjoy my cozy night and so did the catkids. Yeah, we are all works in progress but some take it more seriously than others. I am sort of the whatever kinda peep.
I love the Renard quote!! And also, the hot chocolate sounds very yummy–I made up a jar of homemade from a recipe….it’s still sitting on top of my fridge from at least a year ago 🙂 I rarely drink hot drinks…I’m already too warm, flashes and all… 🙂
I drink iced tea and coke every day but I do occasionally like chai tea latte in the morning, mocha latte in the afternoon and hot chocolate at night. I might have a caffeine addiction!
Oh, I’m a true diet Coke addict–though in summer, a nice glass of iced tea with lemon really hits the spot 🙂
