After too many calls and too much time on the phone with the insurance company, the doctor’s office, a credit department, and the government all is well.
I get so out of sorts when something takes many calls and talking to a gazillion different people, explaining the same thing over and over, being put on hold forever, and being told to call another number and repeating the whole thing again. Okay, it wasn’t a gazillion people or forever but it was aggravating.
Anyway, insurance, Social Security, doctor, and a credit department have all agreed with me. These were different issues some concerning only one company, agency, department and some concerning more than one. To say it was getting confusing is putting it mildly.
So, this week I am Celebrating the Small Things that were threatening to become a big pain in the butt.
Everything is straightened out. No more phone calls needed. And I got a check this week that I was told had been mailed November 4th. \O/

Ugh. Well, at least you got through it, and everything’s resolved. And yay to that check…better late than never 😉
Yeah, I always get through it then wonder why I wasted the energy being aggravated.
Sorry you had to wait so long for the check, but at least you got something out of the miserly paper-pushers even if it took awhile. I’m glad you no longer look like scary phone cat! Have a great weekend!
The check made for a happy day! Better late than never, I guess. It is a beautiful weekend and I am enjoying it.
Yay. Good on YOU. “\o/”
First off, I love your feline photo illustrations with your posts, they never fail to make me smile! Cats are so wonderfully expressive! I understand too well the frustrations of dealing with any large company or government entity anymore, endless calls, taking names, being forwarded, and then repeating when the first round of calls didn’t produce the desired results. Sometimes it really feels like this is intentional to get you to just give up and let things fall where they may, but I am so glad you didn’t! That check was a long time coming! There is huge satisfaction when you finally get things taken care of, but it really shouldn’t be this hard, and I wonder how people without office experience deal with the complications of trying to just get things taken care of.
Glad you like the cats. Seems there is always a cat picture to fit a post. They said the check was mailed 11/4 but it was postmarked last week. Got a letter today that will need a call about another problem…hope it is less time consuming and bothersome than the past calls.
The beginning of retirement is always filled with stuff like this. Decisions, mistakes, corrections and lots of phone calls. Glad you are past it all and can now relax.
Oh, you poor thing. I hate red tape and and lots of wasted time just to resolve an issue. You deserve to celebrate!!
We could all join you in a mighty chorus. Glad you came through it all.
In the end, you are victorious! Yes! Indeed, celebrate! Hugs.
Yes, I was. Got a letter from insurance today that will require another phone call about another matter. What a bother. But better to have insurance that is a bother than no insurance.
I’m so sorry you had such a frustrating week. Been there, done that. I’m glad everything was sorted out and no more phone calls. Have a great weekend. Eva
It was frustrating but now it is over and seems like it never happened. Love it when that happens.
