Thinking about time this
Tuesday Chatter
I don’t know what happens to the day.
It seems I get up to the sunshine and in a blink, it’s the moon I see.
I think time moves faster when one retires.
I thought it would move slower and I would get a lot done.
Nope, not happening.
I’m not complaining!
I have been enjoying my days of doing what little I do.
I would just like the time to mosey along and not be in such a hurry.
You may not understand this if you are young
but I am pretty sure you do if you are old(er) like me.
Maybe the rush of time has something to do with
having more of your time in the past than what is left for the future.
I am learning that living in the moment is sweet
and tomorrow is perhaps nothing more than a passing thought.

I think time is an escape artist.
Great analogy.
Lovely. CH, the husband, and I were just talking about time this morning. It does fly by. I am all about living in the moment right now. I am 65 and I just want to enjoy and be happy in the time I have left, whatever time that may be.
We should learn this earlier than we do. So much of youth is spent on the future and so little on today.
This is so very true. Often I look up and wonder how it can be suppertime already, and where did my day go. I also realize that everything I do takes a little longer than it did years ago. Just a trip to the grocery store seems like a major excursion. 🙂 There are so many things I want to do and enjoy doing, and so I must be grateful for this blessed time of freedom, but I too wish it moved more slowly. We must remember to savor each day we have.
I got some things done this week. \O/ I really have to be careful that I don’t spend all my time reading and daydreaming. It does take longer to do things. I walk to the grocery store a couple of times a week and sometimes wonder if the store moved farther down the road since the last time I went.
This is the kind of thinking that inspired me to choose “Time” as my theme for A to Z. I think about time a lot.

Just a day more and we will get to read your thoughts!
You must have read my mind with your words. Living in the moment is best for anyone, no matter how old we are.
I am better at living in the moment now than when I was younger. Good things do come with age!
Yes, I agree.
