First, Celebrating the Small Things
Today I am celebrating that I have made some decisions.
Nothing really big but just stuff I have been putting off.
I am going to finally get new kitchen cabinets.
I have been thinking about this since I moved here 21 years ago!
I decided on new curtains for the living room and bought them.
They aren’t up yet because I also decided to get new curtain rods
and the handyman hasn’t been back to install them.
So, there you go, two decisions made.
Only about half a gazillion to go.

Now, Friendly Fill-Ins, Week 47
- The first thing I think about in the morning is is it already time to get up and what my plans are for the day?
2. The last thing I think about before sleep is I talk to the cats say my prayers.
3. I am looking forward to getting new kitchen cabinets and painting the kitchen.
4. I am so pleased that I am getting a few things done every day that I have been putting off. I am lazy and when I don’t have a definite “due date” to get something done it doesn’t get done.

I love that you are doing a bit of redecorating at your apartment, it’s fun to have a fresh new look, especially in the kitchen! I tend to procrastinate too… “Some day I should…” and then I never get around to it. I need to set a goal and get moving, you inspire me!
Congrats on the new curtains and the new cabinets! I’ve been wanting to refinish mine and picked up the first can of stain this week (to see if I like the color first). You’ll have to post pics when everything is in!
Going to order the cabinets tomorrow. I have painted my cabinets twice and thought about doing it again but I don’t really want to spend my time prepping and painting. The cabinets are the original cheap apartment ones installed when the place was built in 1972. Definitely time for new! Yes, there will be pictures.

Congratulations on the decision about the cabinets! I have been flirting with the idea of new kitchen cabinets since 2005. I just hate the mess! Your #4… I am a huge PROcrastinator! How nice to have a chat with your cats before you sleep!
I have brought procrastination to a fine art but I am trying to modify it. I am so ready for the cabinets. Hopefully it won’t be much longer.

Thanks! Posts here seem strange if there isn’t a cat attached though it sometimes happens. Plan on ordering the cabinets Monday.

Ah, those are great things to celebrate. We are trying to whittle away at chores towards moving. Oh, it will be awhile, but I know it is a goal. There are always things to do, though. I have to make lists to get things done. I guess it organizes my thoughts. Thanks for joining us here. HUGS, my friend.
The only thing about chores is that they never stay done! I make lists but rarely pay attention to them. Guess I am easily distracted.
