The way I see it…
It seemed people were always asking her if she had always thought differently. She had gotten so used to it she no longer thought it rude. In truth, she thought the people that asked such a question were a little odd because they seemed to want everyone to be the same. What a dull boring world it would be if people were like robots all programmed the same with no idiosyncrasies or eccentricities. Actually, she never thought of herself as different; she thinks she is simply her unique and quirky self and quite alright with who she is.
The way I see it she is probably happier than the people who ask her such a silly question.

I often mingle challenges. Not sure if it creative and a good use of time or just lazy.
I am with you on this, different is wonderful, each person has their own unique qualities and role to fill in life. A flower garden isn’t nearly as pretty if all the flowers are exactly the same, there needs to be some contrast! As we grow older we become more content with the fact that we don’t fit in the box. 🙂
I like different and quirky people though sometimes they are hard to understand and get to know. I don’t think I ever fit in the box. i think I am more of a stretchy bag kinda peep.
I love this concept of a “stretchy bag” person. I think that describes me pretty well too! 🙂

I think quirky is good but even some of CH’s family isn’t sure what to do with me. It used to bother me and now that I am older I just think it’s their thing to work out… or not!
