My mother used to say that too! It’s funny how these expressions seem to span the country. She also used to say “Tie your little bull outside” when one of us was being grumpy or uncooperative. My kids thought that was hilarious! I guess you had to be raised in farm country to appreciate it. 🙂
I never heard the bull expression but then I grew up in the suburbs. Did your mother ever say “handsome is as handsome does”? Ma was 100% right about that!
