Friendly Fill-Ins, week 52
1. I don’t have a landline.
2. My most treasured piece of jewelry is
my mother’s engagement ring and wedding band.
3. This year, I have learned, to yield is difficult and requires patience.
4. I would like to begin exercising in earnest before this year is over.

*good grief* I commented here last week, but I may not have posted it. I am sorry. Just tired.
I wish I had my grandparents bands or better yet, my great-grandparents. I yielded so much for so long, and was not very good to myself as a result. I have to remember to be careful not to give up myself in yielding. I guess this goes with the “Be Kind” theme. Hugs, my sweet friend.
Nothing to be sorry about. I am nowhere near caught up with anything. Last two or three weeks have been a bear. I understand tired all too well. The yielding I am working on is meant to perhaps break but not to destroy; it is to be a step in growth toward reaping a good harvest. It is a provisional or transitional time of preparation for something better. The “yield” I am working on is to make me more spiritually, and less worldly. I got me some work to do!!
To yield is tough. I have a few pounds I would like to see go but the weather hasn’t been very cooperative and I have PROcrastination so I am going to have to really give myself a talking to!
Let me know what you say to yourself to get motivated. I never pay attention to what I say.
The black and white cats hugging makes a great picture. Have a great weekend.
It is a sweet picture. Teddy and Jack don’t even like to share a room let alone cuddle. The only time they get anywhere near each other is when we all get in my bed. for the night.
“To yield is difficult and requires patience”, amen to that! I’m working on it though, and I feel like I am making progress. You encourage me, thank you! ❤
In 2015 my word for the year was patience…I may have to revisit that word. The yield thing is a challenge but I have made some small steps toward it…slow very small steps.
Those are great images, most especially the one with the white kitty and the black kitty. So sweet.
What a blessing for you to have your mother’s engagement ring.
I agree; yielding is very difficult! Sometimes more than others.
Have a blessed weekend.
I cherish my mother’s rings. I used to wear them all the time then they got smaller and need to be made bigger so I can wear them again. It’s on my to-do list.
I hope that you’ll be able to wear them again very soon.
Have a blessed day. 🙂
Thank you for these great answers. I need to exercise too. Have a nice weekend.
Thanks for the blanks to fill-in. Have you exercised? Yeah, me either. 🙂
Thank you for the encouraging words. I must convince myself that exercising in earnest is more than just a brisk walk around my chair.
I try to take a walk everyday but I really need to do more.
