“In whomever we see a spark of love,
we are their servant.”
Kabir Helminski
In the world today it seems that to be called a servant is a bad thing. There are those who think a servant tends to be someone who is inferior, of lower stature or importance, menial. Perhaps those who have such a low opinion of servants don’t understand that to serve is not always just a job or duty it can also be an act of compassion and love, a privilege.
Is it not true that when you love someone
you want to do things for them
to make their life easier, more pleasant?
Would the world not be a better place if we saw
the humanity, the hearts, and hurts of all people
and served them some respect and love?

This is so beautifully written and shared with us, Patricia! Yes, we all need to have a servant’s heart, and to serve God and others humbly and to the very best of our ability. To serve others is an honor, not a lowly position! ❤
It is an honor to serve others…but sometimes I forget that fact.
This is spot on. It doesn’t matter what each of us do as long as we loving doing it. We should all respect what others do. I know I do.
Have a fabulous day. ♥
The world’s problems would be few if we respected each other. Everyone has a reason for being…doesn’t matter whether the reason is big or small.
You make very valid points. Everyone that works for someone serves. The word servant doesn’t make much sense anymore, IMO.
Yes, we serve those we work for and should be willing to serve others in our sphere just because we can.
Thank you for such a beautifully put reminder about serving !
Thank you. 🙂
Patricia, yes. I agree with you wholeheartedly. Thank you for sparking love. HUGS.
