M is for money…

colorful-1313027_640is for money

Some say money is the root of all evil.
I don’t agree.
Money can be a wonderful thing.

It all depends on what and how you think of money.
And a lot depends on how you get it and how you use it.
Money is important and everyone needs it.

Without money, life can be pretty miserable.
Just ask any hungry homeless person.
No one wants to be penniless.

Really, no one needs millions of dollars.
True, life would be easier in many ways with lots of money.
But millions of dollars may lead to millions of problems and worries.

Be wise with whatever money you have in your pockets.
Don’t waste your money and don’t spend more than you have.
Always give some of what you have to those who need it.

Maybe life would be more comfortable if you had more money.
Be careful that dollars don’t become a god to you.
Be happy that you have what you need.

Be someone who is happy without a lot of money.

  1. I loved this. I always marvel at money. Anne Lamott says, if you want to know what God thinks about money, look who he gives it too. If my bills are paid, I have food in the fridge and a couple of bucks in my pocket, oh yeah, and a book, I’m happy. Love the pix. Is that Teddy counting his pennies or Jack? Also love the spare way you wrote this. Economy of words. Went with its theme. 🙂

    1. I agree with you about how much money is needed. Just enough is good. The cat looks like Teddy. Teddy doesn’t care about money as long as there is enough to buy his food.

  2. I’ll tell ya what… whoever said money was the root of all evil only had it partially right because it sure comes in handy when bills roll around and when you have five children who has given me an even dozen grandchildren and two great-grandchildren at birthday time & Christmas time. So, I crochet and love it and so do they. Have a great weekend! How do you get this WordPress Widget thingy you’re talking about??? I have WordPress widget!!! Thanking you in advance! Nice to meet you… hugssssss

    1. To get widgets on WP on the left sidebar click on My Sites. Click on your blog. Under Personalize click on Themes Customize. Click on Widgets then choose the widget you want. Just follow the instructions it isn’t difficult. I went to your site and found you haven’t posted yet. Look forward to seeing what you will share with us.

  3. So true, while it is a necessity, an abundance of it isn’t. I see so much wastefulness when it comes to making showy displays of wealth. I am happy with having just enough, and I try my best to help those who don’t. While money surely solves some problems, it can easily create others. As with all things, it’s about using it wisely and in ways that are in keeping with what we believe.

  4. Money’s nothing more than a tool, a means to an end, really. Like you say, without it, life can be pretty miserable. It’s not an end in itself, though, and that’s where it becomes evil.

  5. Love your image, teaching cats the value of money. Haha.
I see you have a collection of people that visited your blog, is that a feature we can use on WordPress or is it just another word for followers?
I have nearly 2000 followers, but only about 40 visitors a post. I would like it if I could return the visit, not the hundred blogs I visit each day through the reader.
Thanks for your help in advance.
