Stopping in at the BrewNSpew Cafe for a chat.
The picture below is a container on my balcony.
So far I haven’t seen any hummingbirds.
Last year they visited every day.
I am hopeful that they will soon show up for a drink.
I haven’t been around to visit y’all much the last week or so. I have been taking a bit of a break from the computer. Now that I am retired I have not been very disciplined in the area of time management. When I am on the computer I totally lose track of time.
There are things that need to be done that just don’t get done. There are things I want to do that I don’t seem to have time for. All because I get on the computer and get lost in cyberspace. This is not a good thing. There is more to life than computers.
I will keep writing because I like writing and it keeps me grounded. I will also visit you but may not comment other than to hit the like button. Once I get control of my computer habit I will comment if only to say hello. Until then I am setting a timer and when it dings I log out.
Hopefully, you understand,
I am not ignoring you.
Have you gotten around to training the cats in Shiatsu massage yet? One of mine gets on my chest or side every single night in order to help me unwind from the day.
Peace to you, as always, my dear friend.
I don’t know about Shiatsu massage but they are pretty good at kneading massage with purrs.
It’s your life and you can do as you wish. You’re retired so you’ve earned the right to conduct your life as you see fit. I spend too much time on my computer too and today I’m going to get my nails and toes done. That will be a nice thing to do for me time.
Have a fabulous day. ♥
The thing is…I not sure I want to spend so much time on the computer, it just happens. I thought I was a pretty disciplined person but I am learning I have some work to do when it comes to time management. Having nails and toes done is a little luxury that makes for a happy day.
It’s incredible how quickly times flies when I’m on the comuter.
Time does fly! Not healthy to let so much time go by sitting and staring at a screen. I am on a screen time diet.
Totally understand Patricia and think it’s a great idea – to remember to step back and enjoy life a bit…. Work, work, work, work makes us dull – LOL hope the hummingbirds show up soon! 🙂
I enjoy being on the computer but have been missing other joys of life because of too much time in cyberspace. Working on changing that. So far still no hummingbirds. 😦
Reblogged this on BrewNSpew and commented:
Sharing discussion from Patricia and agreed, we need to take time away from computers.
Thank you for sharing my post.
Love you and yes I understand!
Sweet Debbie, thank you.
I agree, Patricia. There is more to life than computers. I feel it’s time for me to take a break as well.
I am surprised at how “lost” I get on the computer. Hours can go by that seem like minutes. I have done fairly well this week with discipline. 🙂
