“As a child, I assumed that when I reached adulthood,
I would have grown-up thoughts.”
David Sedaris
I reached adulthood quite some time ago. I wonder when I will begin having grown-up thoughts?

Hahaha.. Don’t worry, we all are sailing in the same boat! 😉 😛
It may not be a yacht but it is a fun boat most of the time.
Hahaha.. You bet! 😉
We have a meme here in Germany. It says “Adulthood? Tried it. Was boring.”
I am not sure it is boring but it is over-rated.
I’ve wondered the same thing. I’m thinking it’s not going to happen.
Have a fabulous day and weekend. ♥
Good! There enough adults messing up the world with their grown-up thoughts.
Adulthood is overrated!
You are so right! Why did I spend so much time and thought about being a grown-up?
This makes sense! I prefer a mix of grownup and whimsical and childlike thoughts. Keeps life interesting.
Whimsical…I like that. More folks should be whimsical. The world would a happier place.
There’s something to be said for keeping the child within us alive…
True and the older I get the more I appreciate the child within.
😀
OOPS….childhood thoughts feel a whole LOT better.
I love David Sedaris for starters. Candid humor at its best.
I don’t know much about grown-up thoughts either, but childhood thoughts feel a whole better, like looking for a Mr. Softie truck on a Friday night. Rereading Ferdinand the Bull wishing you could call him up to say, come on over for an ice cream cone cause you located that Mr. Softie truck. 🙂
For me childlike thinking is way better as an adult than it was as a kid. It would be nice to see an ice cream truck again!
With the bells chiming. 🙂
