Here I am at BrewNSpew Cafe where some the chatter is about writing a poem using the word quiddity. First I ever heard of the word. Good thing Eugenia included the definition;
quiddity (noun) – 1) the real nature of a thing; the essence 2) a petty or trifling distinction; quibble. Synonyms – essence, heart and soul, inwardness, nitty-gritty, pith, substance, haecceity.
Now that I know what it means…here goes.
Wandering through life
Searching for its quiddity
Journey of wonder

You did great with a fun word! I am sad more of these kinds of words aren’t in regular use.
Thanks, Josie.
Patricia, I created a little poem, Am I Weird? using this word. I didn’t think I’d come up with anything with such an odd sounding word but then it came to me just like that! I don’t think we have wander through life too far to find quiddities in oneself or others, they are all around us if we just look for them. 🙂
It’s true our quiddities are no far off. I think some of mine seem so normal to me that I can’t qualify them as quiddities
English is a strange language and you are good it using it.
Since it is the only language I know I have no choice but to use it good or bad.
You did a great job with the word too.
Have a fabulous day. ♥
Thank you.
Great take! Good to have you back in action 😀
Thanks, Reena.
Reblogged this on BrewNSpew.
Great job, Patricia! Isn’t quiddity a fun word? I’m glad you’re back. 🙂
It’s different. I like different.
Me too!
An interesting word
One I’d never heard
But a poet I am not
So write a poem I cannot
But you did… 🙂
