Something new for Friday.
I will write a story that will be truth or tale.
Some stories will be 100% truth (or close to it) others will be 100% tale.
Most will be a little bit of both.
You can decide where the story belongs.

Fifty was her favorite birthday. As a child, she did what she was told, as a teen she rebelled, as a young woman she was sad and lost. But at fifty, she felt like she finally knew who and what she was meant to be. It was a lovely liberation from the chains of the past.
It was like she was at last free of the cocoon that held her prisoner for so long. She decided to mark the day in a special way. She got a tattoo of a butterfly! A butterfly just beginning to open its wings to take flight. Perfect!
Perfect indeed
😀

Also, it’s quite uplifting since the age factor can weigh us down. I suffer from it, fighting it with acceptance, the only answer. With age comes wisdom realizing, what’s important and what isn’t. Separating the wheat, from the chaff if you will. Love your prose Patricia. Never disappoints.
The ugly age thing! At times I feel the same as you. There is wisdom that comes with age. It would be nice if it didn’t come with sags and wrinkles.
Thank you for always being so encouraging!
Yes, if only one didn’t suddenly resemble a paper bag. I’m speaking of me. You could store hankies beneath my eyes. sigh
So far no bags for me so far but the dark circles sometimes make me look like I haven’t slept in days…or been a fight.
I can’t imagine you ever in a fight. 😙
Sounds like truth to me. That’s how I felt at 50.

Tossing It Out
Well, I was 50 once so it could be true.
What a fun writing concept! The story is true of you, but is there really a butterfly tattoo? That would surprise me! 😊 I’ve had a little one on my arm for nearly 30 years for similar reasons! 50 is a good age. Sixty came a little harder.
I’m keeping some secrets…sort of. I you think 60 was hard wait until you wake up at 70. Old ain’t for the weakly.😾
70 will be here before I know it!! Where did the time go? Yes, I think they kind of misled us with that “golden years” thing, rusty is more accurate! But we keep going as best wr can! ♥️
I don’t get the golden years thing either. I agree with the rusty years. Some days it’s kinda hard to move without a few groans.😾
If you were in New York City, I guarantee you’d locate a butterfly tattoo, in a variety of colors even. 🙂
Hmm, methinks it’s the truth. I love the idea of your Friday tales. 🙂
Could be true…in part or all. 🐈
🙂
I, too, bielive this one is 100% true. Or at least it is in my case…
Maybe, I wasn’t writing about me 😼
I can identify with this, so true.
I guess no one is really unique.
A bit of tale mostly truth.
Could be…😽
😃
Sounds true to me. On what part of your body is the tattoo, hmm?
I think I will leave it up to your imagination….if I have a tattoo 😼
Now Now…:)
I think this sounds true, Patricia. Or maybe you fooled me? 🙂
You are no fool, Olga.😸
