“Peace is not merely a distant goal that we seek,
but a means by which we arrive at that goal.”
Martin Luther King,Jr.

This is something to be thought about seriously.
It is not enough to want peace.
It is something that often takes hard work.
We don’t have to agree with everyone.
We don’t have like what they say or how they say it.
But we must remember actions speak louder than words.
If actions are not peaceful then peaceful words are meaningless.
We are called to the ministry of peacemaking (which is different than peacekeeping). And this requires us to walk with the fruit of the Spirit in full display and with His wisdom firmly in hand.
Ministry of peacemaking is not an easy task. Good to know that we are not alone in the endeavor and that we don’t have to rely on our own strength and wisdom.
Amen! It is so much easier when we rest ourselves in the might of the Savior rather than in our own strength (of which there is little).
🙂
Very nice, Patricia! It seems many never learn or don’t care to learn to be responsible for what they say and their actions.
Thank you 😺
Most welcome!
Mind…OOPs 🙂
I love this, from the picture you’ve chosen to what you wrote. Without peace of mine, peace towards others and peace in your heart, nothing else is worth having. 🙂
Thank you, Susannah. The picture really decided what I wrote. The dog and cat walking side by side look so determined to get where they are going. They seem to know they won’t get anywhere if they are fighting.
Animals are so smart…the best teachers. They live in the moment, happy with very little. Nature was at her best when she made the 4-legged. 🙂
So true!
🙂
We all saw that lesson the hard way.
Yes, we see the lesson but it seems for some the hardest part is in learning and living it.
