I like the muted sounds, the
shroud of grey, and the silence
that comes with the fog.

This is the view from my window today.
I love the few foggy days we have here
So calm and beautiful.
In the early afternoon I went for a walk in the fog.
It was chilly but not windy or uncomfortable.
The mist was soft and gentle
Like angels passing by spreading quiet joy.
Like living in the clouds.
Yes it is. I have the most beautiful view of the sky.
I like to see fog, also. We had a foggy morning in a campground in the woods in the Pocono Mountains of Pennsylvania near the Delaware Water Gap. It was mesmerizing. Your description of the fog was beautiful, “soft and gentle like angels…”.
Walking in fog is rather ethereal. I enjoy the sort of otherworldliness of it.
I don’t care for driving in the fog, but it’s ever so beautiful to be out in. So quiet and peaceful.
Have a fabulous day, Patricia. ♥
Driving and fog are not compatible but walking and fog are. Sitting inside and looking out the window is also a wonder.
Lovely and peaceful post, Patricia.
Thank you. It was a lovely peaceful day.
Most welcome!
I love this. It makes me want to reread Rebecca and Wuthering Heights, and yes, peace was in the house yesterday being President’s Day, as if we were presented an additional Sunday. I too went out and walked through nature’s silky scrim wrapped in the unexpected blessing. Loved this!!! As usual. 🙂
Yesterday did seem like an extended Sunday. Seems it was a great day for walking, even up North.
How soothing and lovely
Just what I thought, like a written lullaby. 🙂
You’re right Susannah
I don’t read many blogs, but I so love hers. The way she pens the very essence of what she wants to say in so few words, leaves me in a Monday, and a Thursday, awe. I
This is such a beautiful thing to say. I agree with you
It’s so true. 🙂
🥰
Awe, back atcha. Thanks, my encourager.
Thank you, Sadje, it was just as you said.
