I try to maintain a healthy dose of daydreaming, to remain sane.
Florence Welch

I can’t imagine life without daydreaming. I guess there are people who think it’s just a way to waste time, but I don’t think it is time wasted. It is an important activity to keep one levelheaded and happy.
I daydream quite often. Usually a few times a day. Sometimes it leads to doing something constructive. Sometimes it solves a problem that seemed impossible to work out. Sometimes it gives me something to ponder and wonder about. Daydreaming always relieves stress and relaxes me. It never disappoints!
I don’t often give advice, but here is some…daydream today! Don’t worry, anything important on your to-do list will get done. A good daydream will make your day better then it would be without that time out to just be alone with yourself. Oh, and as far as I know there are no bad daydreams. Those would be a nightmare while you are awake (a daymare?) and I have never had one of those, and like I said I daydream quite often. So, go for it!
I daydream all the time. As a matter of fact, I have to be careful because I’ve been known to walk into traffic, not paying attention. I think it’s common though, so I don’t get angry at myself, however…one needs to be more mindful. It does do remarkable things to your overall mood and good cheer. Like reading while you’re walking. You can take yourself anywhere without having to pack a bag. I love that you used the word ponder. A favorite of mine. Thanks, as always for writing so well. Susannah
I think I only daydream when I am sitting and quiet. When I walk, I am too busy looking around and listening and feeling the air around me to daydream. Do you read while walking? If I did that, I would probably run into things or trip and fall. I’m not sure walking into traffic because one is daydreaming is common. Maybe in the big city, it is, but I don’t think it is in the small city where I live.
No, I don’t read when I’m in motion, but do read a lot. I belong to a Library that has a beautiful old reading room I like to spend time in. It’s regal and quiet, like an old time English drawing room so you can dream all kinds of things while you’re there. It was once a man’s home so, it actually has that feeling. My needs are simple, even if I do enjoy a little posh here and there. 🙂
That is so try, I daydream a lot to, always have and probably always will!
Daydreaming is a wonderful way to relax and recharge.
As well you should especially if you like to write. My 2 cents. Susannah
I rarely can remember my dreams while sleeping, but I daydream a lot. It’s a wonderful place to get away from it all.
Have a fabulous day. ♥
I don’t remember my night dreams. Sometimes there’s a hint, but never enough to tell the story. Daydreaming is a good way to get away from the stuff that happens during the day.
Nicely said…a wonderful place to get away from it all.
Dreams are important, whether dreamt at night or day
Yes, day and night dreams are important for our health. But I enjoy daydreams because I can turn them on and off or change the channel if I want. I guess I like being in control.😼
You’re so right, one is in control of daydreams.
Love…change the channel. That’s great. 🙂
