This is name I’ve been proudly called…a Bibliophile. Yes indeed, I wear it like a medal since, reading changed my life. When I roam the stacks at the Library people can’t believe I pay to be a member of, smelling the old bindings, many belonging to members of the old guard bibliophilia, community, I’m truly at my happiest.
Nice, clean, important post Patricia since, to quote John Adams, when you have a book, you always have a friend.
Ask any reading kitty.
Love the picture. 🙂
I have always loved to read. My favorite part of first grade was learning to read and all the new words. I don’t if the post is important, but I do agree with John.
Do you belong to a library other than a public one? I don’t think we have any libraries here that you have to pay to use, but I could be wrong.
Yea, I belong to the oldest one in the city and it was the greatest thing I ever did. Imagine a Cathedral filled with books. :0
Do they have mostly nonfiction and classics? I read mostly fiction, some memoirs. And most of what I read are newly released books.
They have two GIANT floors of non-fiction. Just recently read Tender is the Night which got me on this French Riviera kick.
They get all new releases…non fiction, fiction, history, art, poetry. They put out a little pamphlet monthly to alert you to what’s new in the stacks. As a reader, being a member is like winning the Derby. A little more info than you asked for. Oh well. 🙂
I love the phonetic spelling of this word as well as its synesthetic appearance to me.
Words are a delight, aren’t they?
Yes, definitely. I love how some words look and sound.
That is so many we know!
And I am one of them. My catkids like it when I read. They know I will sit still for a while, and they can cuddle up with me.
That would be me. Love it.
Have a fabulous day and rest of the week, Patricia. ♥
Me, too. I get antsy if I don’t have a book to read.
