If you are always trying to be normal
you will never know how amazing you can be.
Maya Angelou

I am not sure I know what normal is. What I do know is that I have always found it hard to fit in. As a child, it wasn’t too obvious that I was not like other kids. But in my teens, my different ways of thinking and behaving were noticeable.
Oh, I wasn’t wild or crazy acting. I was just different than my contemporaries. Most people did not understand me, and those my age often thought I was weird. But I did have some good friends that accepted me as I was, and that was a blessing!
As a young woman, I was a bit wild and crazy. With the wild craziness, I learned a few hard lessons that have served me well over the years. And I grew up to be who I am now. Maybe not amazing, but still different in how I think and live but in a quiet way.
Maybe I just don’t know what normal is.
That’s okay.
I’m happily me.

Normal is boring!!!!! Great post
I agree. I think normal is boring because it is too predictable.
Aww, lovely writingβ€οΈπ
Thank you!
I enjoyed it and your blog is great, please visit mine and support it if you like it π β€
I don’t know what normal is either. I feel being happy is more important than trying to fit into “normal”!
Got that right!
I love that quote. I was never a 9 to 5er either, and continue not to be. But who is really? The person who looks so perfect on paper isn’t necessarily the happiest. You always sound peaceful to me, which is, in my humble worth 2 cents opinion, where the fruit is. π
Peaceful? Yes, most of the time, but I do have an impatient Irish temper that I have to keep a close watch on at times.
I have an Italian one, so I fully understand.
Love this quote. Why be normal if you can be extraordinary
I agree!

I don’t know what normal is either but I’m probably not it.
Being normal is for people who are boring.
I love that quote and that sweet kitty face. Our Dad can relate, he has never been accused of being normal and probably never will.
Your Dad loves his cat kids and that’s normal in my world.
I’m not anywhere near normal and I’m happy about that.
Have a fabulous day, Patricia. β₯
Being happy is what is important!
