What do people incorrectly assume about you?

Because I am quiet and an introvert, people think there has been no rebellion in my life. I won’t go into detail here, but I was a child that followed the rules only if it suited me and my teenage years were a nightmare for my parents.

I left high school in my sophomore year and went to cosmetology school. I got my cosmetology license and went to work. Not long after that, I left my parent’s house. Then the rebel in me had free rein, and it was fun…until it wasn’t.

When I was thirty, I sat down and had a long talk with myself. I called my parents (who had moved to another state for my father’s job) and asked, could I come home? They said yes, of course, come home. That was one of the hardest things I have ever done, but one of the wisest, and I have never regretted it.

These days life is calm without chaos, confusion, or crisis.
But, I will always be a rebel at heart!

  1. Good to know about you. I don’t know what others think of me and I’ve always said it’s none of my business what others think of me.

Have a fabulous day and week, Patricia. ♥

    1. Knowing what others think of us can be helpful, but most of the time they have no idea what they are talking about. Although there are some, if we would listen to them, we would be better off.

I so love this. I’ve said this before, your economy of words is very inspiring…clipped, spare…saying what you mean in so few words. Quite impressive, always.

As for false impressions…I’m viewed often as a snoot, or highfaultin’, when I’m neither. I just have a demeanor that says so. Don’t judge a book by its cover comes to mind to this avid reader. 🙂
