It’s weird
being the same age
as old people.
(I don’t know who said this but I agree.)
I have been officially old for some time
But I don’t think of myself as old
I think I am in my prime
But now behold
Another birthday bell did chime
How many times won’t be told!

I never think of myself as old as I am ( 80 in October) It’s all in living positively and happily and that is easy with my sweetheart and our Lucy! Cheers!
Good for you! You are right, being positive in attitude is the key.
Happy Birthday! Age is a lot about purrspective. Our veterinarian told The Human that they don’t refer to cats of a certain age as “geriatric”, they now call them “super seniors”. I think you humans should take the same approach!

I’m 70 and feel 30 most of the time. I know people that are 40 and feel and act old. I know people my age that are very old in their minds. We’re doing it right.

I try not to let age deter me. I had to accept a few things like, I’m not pretty anymore. That may sound haughty, but I’ve been in a business where I was my own product. I refuse any enhancing, so I’ve concentrated on health and peace of mind instead.
Age is just a number…how often have we heard that, but ya know…it’s true.

I have nine months until I reach the age my mother died. I think about it more often now.
It’s been quiet and pleasant. My mother was 10 years younger than I am when she died. Way too young!

Last week I was thinking that I am the age that my mother was in her last months of life. She had given up driving years before. She had always been young for her age but her illness made her old. I don’t think of myself as old but dang I am. I have more energy than she did but she had severe asthma which sucks your energy. I stayed more physical than she did although other than her lungs and heart, she was in great shape. She had all her original parts as she used to like to brag.
My mother was younger than I am when she died. Still miss her.
