It has been a while since I have participated in Bloganuary but I have decided that this year I will. I don’t know how it will go. I haven’t been exactly motivated to write lately. So here goes the first day…the prompt is
What is something you want to achieve this year?
Hmm, I am not very good at making plans or looking ahead, but I will try to answer this prompt. Getting more exercise this year is the only thing I have come up with. The plan is to walk and do my stair and hallway circuits every day and do some simple exercises every other day.
So, today I went for a walk and did my stair and hallway circuit.
Day one was a success!
The picture is an impressionist painting of me
my brother did when I was in my early 20’s.
Ah we seem to be in the same place thought-wise. BTW I like that painting. Are your eyes that blue?
They look blue here but my eyes and in the painting are green. Don’t know why they sorta look blue here.
Lovely!
Off to a great start! Why do I suddenly feel lazy?
Few folks are lazier than me. I am a pro.
I’m doing the walking six days a week. I’m up to at least 10,000 steps a day. What a difference it has made. I’m never winded anymore and my rest heart rate has dropped 20 beats per minute. I feel fabulous. I hope you can do this.
Have a fabulous day and a very Happy New Year, Patricia. Big hug. ♥
10,000 steps! Wonderful!
Right now I am doing 7,500 a day and hope to work up to 10,000.
I think it’s exciting, and it will create a creative habit, that, like the late great Jan Morris said…there is strength in routine.
One essay at a time, one day at a time…and who’s better at brevity that inspires than you.
I’ve heard it said…we aspire to inspire.
Looking forward to today’s, 🙂
PS I too love the painting,
I have 2 other paintings of his. They are wonderful. I will post about them…someday.
Maybe during this month. 🙂
2 days of walking but no exercise workout. There’s always tomorrow, right? And I forgot to write yesterday’s Bloganuary. Seems I have a problem with following the plans I make.
So you’re a little late. So what. You’re thinking is all.
Walking is the best exercise by far. You did good. 🙂
Good for you on your first day, Patricia! I love the painting.
Thank you. My brother was very talented.
You’re welcome. 🙂
Hooray for a successful first day. We all wish you a most Happy New Year! ~Brian, Simon, Seal, Kiki, Maxwell and Macy
Thank you! Hope your New Year is full of wonders and surprises,
