I planned on doing the January Bloganuary post every day. But somehow that didn’t happen, so here I am catching up. I hope to keep current for the rest of the month.
1/2 How are you brave?
I can’t say I am brave. I have had to make hard choices and do difficult things
and maybe some think that is a form of bravery, but I think that’s just part of life.
1/3 What is your earliest memory?
I remember when I was about 3 years old sitting on the dining room table arguing with my mother that she was
putting my socks on the wrong feet. I knew that there was a right sock and a left sock!
1/4 What is a treasure that has been lost?
Someone I loved with all my heart.
1/5 What brings you joy in life?
The people I know and love.
1/6 Why do you write?
No big or important reason. It’s just something I like to do.
1/7 Write a short story or poem about rain.
The rain falls softly
Cool and fresh
The earth is renewed
1/8 How far back in your family tree can you go?
Not very far. Nobody talked much about the past.
1/9 What is the most memorable gift you ever received?
The Teddy Bear I was given the day I was born.
Of course, I don’t remember actually receiving it but my Guy
was my best friend and I still have him.
This is actually a nice short and sweet catchup session.
Thanks! Going to try and stay current, though.
A great catch-up and an economy of words!
Thanks!
Purrfect! Excellent way to catch up. I love the memory one, I ask that question often when I am out with friends. Mine was at 4 years old and I had what must have been the smallpox shot. I remember it was after I was already home and my arm hurt. I was watching tv while sitting on the floor in the middle of the living room. Must have been b&w tv then too! lol.
I don’t remember getting that shot, but I still have a scar from it.
I love your answers, Patricia, and good for you for taking on Bloganuary.
It was a slow start but I’m caught up and hope to stay that way.
I so loved how you did this, interviewing yourself. I saw two of you sitting at your kitchen table.
1/6 Why do you write?
No big or important reason. It’s just something I like to do.
Me too!!!
Write on.I say! Will look forward to your next installment. 🙂
Going to try to stay current. It seems the aging thing has taken a toll on my getting things done.
You’re much too hard on yourself. Your writing is delightful.
You are always encouraging…I think I may have said that before.
I just love the way you write. You’ve been such an influence on me editing wise…omit useless words, as the Elements in Style puts it. You have the gift of brevity, and it’s so inspiring. 🙂
Checking it out…can’t wait,
I love the socks incident. Sounds just like my 3 year old granddaughter
It’s funny what we remember, isn’t it?
Something get stuck in our memories
Love the kitty and your answers. I love it that you still have your teddy bear.
I linked this post to Awww Mondays.
Have a fabulous day and week, Patricia. ♥
He is very sad looking now with hardly any fur and falling apart.
Those were good answers and how cool you still have your teddy bear.
He is in a shoe box and falling apart. When I look at him, it makes me sad. I have left instructions that he is to be buried with me. Hopefully, that will happen…in the distant future.
Short and sweet! Now you are caught up!
Yep, and hope to stay caught up!
