McGuffey’s Reader Sparks 5 No medicine is more valuable, none more efficacious, none better suited to the cure of our temporal ills than a friend to whom we may turn for consolation in time of trouble, and with whom we may share happiness in time of joy.

Ronovanwrites Haiku prompt, touch and miss
In Other Words
He died when she was three or four but she remembers him. He laughed and smiled a lot and sometimes she saw tears in his eyes. He told her stars were little holes in the curtains the angels closed at night and people we love who are in heaven can see us through those holes. She knew her grandparent, her Pa, was watching her when she saw the stars at night. Now many many years later when she looks up at the night sky she knows Pa is watching her from one the starry holes.
Touch the heart softly
Sweet laughter and silent tears
Forever to miss
Today I am visiting the Tuesday Chatter Cafe
and wrote a Haiku for RonovanWrites Challenge
Not much to chat about today but did want to stop in and say hello.
It was a quiet day of reading and watching the hummingbirds.
The catkids got bored with the birds quickly and went inside to nap.
I find the little things interesting and beautiful.
I did a bit of writing and scheduled a couple of future posts.
Trying to keep my resolve to not be online at all on the weekends
In the blind man’s heart
Painted ladies all unseen
