Startled, she looked at the girl and said, “Missy, where you goin’ dressed like that?” “Some of us are meetin’ up in town for some fun, Granny.” “Oh no, you ain’t goin’ nowhere til you sashay yer sweet self back in the house and put somethin’ decent on that ain’t from the devil’s closet!”

When I think about my mother I usually laugh but sometimes I get mad.
If I could be a famous diva I would be me but with talent and money
I drive a hard bargain in my head and wish it was a reality.
Celebrate the Small Things
This week I am celebrating that my office has been moved. It was just off the showroom near the front of the building and when they hired another support person they decided that she and I would share space at the back of the building. For the last few weeks, I have been working in my office but all the files and papers and such are in the back “nerve center” office. It seemed that when I was at the front desk what I needed was at the back desk and when at the back desk what I needed was at the front. Monday my computer was moved to the desk in the back and all my stuff is in one place.
Today I am joining Linda Kay at Senior Adventures,
Wednesday Wit and Wisdom
All you have to do is find a picture and write a story or poem using it as inspiration.
Conversation at the Barn
“Hey guys, come over here. Look at these animals. Aren’t they cute?” “Silly looking if you ask me.” “Maybe, a little. But look at the white-haired guy over there,” “Yeah, he’s quite handsome and looks intelligent too.” “I like the red-head. Those bangs are sexy.” “What are they doing?” “They’re cute, see they’re watching us.” “I think they are laughing at us.” “Why would they be laughing at us? They’re the funny looking ones!” “What kind of animals are they anyway?” “Haven’t you seen these critters before?” “Nope, don’t think so. I’d remember if I did, they’re strange-looking.” “Well, they are Homo sapiens. They call themselves People.”
